Nice to Meet You

Sonia McMullen and Julie Dusold Culbertson met as undergraduates at the University of Missouri.  They've raced in several recreational runs and triathlons together and apart since then.  With a combined three decades of experience in corrective exercise, they would love to show you how to move pain-free!

Both busy parents to young children, Sonia and Julie understand first-hand the aches and pains that come with different stages of life.  And they know that most modern humans have missed some pretty important information about how to best move.  Whether you're an athlete sidetracked by injuries, curious about starting a new routine, or just want to move better as you age, you can enjoy more comfort using their evidence-based MOST Method.

Meet Sonia

Sonia McMullen, PT, DPT graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the esteemed rehabilitation-focused physiotherapy program at Northwestern University (USA) in 2007.  She recently completed Polestar® Pilates for Rehabilitation Comprehensive Training.  Her physiotherapy approach is based on the Motor Control Framework which enables her to diagnose and treat movement dysfunction. This knowledge of movement biomechanics, combined with years of developing skill in assessing and treating movement dysfunction, sets her apart.

Sonia is the owner and founder of Strive Rehab in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia.  She has completed significant post-graduate physiotherapy study and has learned the value of a holistic approach to wellness.

Meet Jules

Julie Dusold Culbertson, MPA, has nearly 20 years of experience as both a health policy leader and a fitness instructor, with expertise in improving public health programs and individual health behaviors.  She began her fitness career in 2005 as an ACE-certified personal trainer and lifestyle management coach.  Julie became certified in mat and reformer pilates through Merrithew's STOTT Pilates®  comprehensive training in 2011, and has since added barre and fascial movement to her repertoire.

In her mid-20s, training for her first long-distance run, Julie experienced debilitating low back pain.  After a few years of pain derailing an otherwise very active lifestyle, a physical therapist introduced her to pilates and she kissed the back pain goodbye.  After fifteen years, a handful of successful half-marathons and triathlons, and two pregnancies featuring spectacular weight gain and loss, pilates continues to keep Julie active and pain-free.  She loves guiding her clients to move with better precision so they can enjoy more out of every phase of life.
